Advice

Daniel C. asked a question to Kate R.

I am Daniel C, I am from Malta. I am 42 years old and aspiring to become a pilot in the near future. I am a chartered accountant and just recently become my ppl course which I anticipate to have finished this year and crack on with my ATPL next year. Do you think I am late to the party? Thanks for your advice. I would like to speak to some one also from HR as it is one of ambitions for fly for BA. Regards, Daniel

    Hi Daniel.

We have many people who change careers later in life so you are definitely not late to the party.

The best information about British Airways recruitment will be on our careers page but if you have specific questions then please feel free to ask on here.

We are not currently taking Newly Qualified Pilots but if this changes having first time passes in all assessments is important. We also take Direct Entry Pilots with as few as 500 hours on relevant aircraft so there are various opportunities. These change regularly so would depend on when you finished training.

I hope this helps and feel free to ask further questions.

    Kate
