Beard length for religious reasons.

Good evening, British airways policy states that beards longer than 1.5 cm are not allowed. If someone has longer beard would that be allowed or not ? I have contacted CAA which informed " This issue is not regulated and so it is up to individual airlines to set their own policy".

    Thanks for your question.


    The length of beard limitation is not for the whole beard. For the safety of the individual and all those on board beard length is limited to 1.5cm at places where the smoke hood seal will sit, and the neck must be clean shaven.


    I hope this clears up any confusion regarding beard length.
