Can I become a pilot with ADHD and whilst being medicated?

Hi, I have ADHD and have been on medication for over 5 years. Will I be able to become a pilot with this situation and what barriers will I encounter. I am willing to go off medication if needed but I would like to stay on it if possible. Thanks.
