At British Airways there are regular touch points to talk about wellbeing & personal development. Within my team, I have regular 1-1 sessions with my manager, we schedule these in on a weekly basis, and the conversation normally starts with questions around wellbeing and any support I require for my personal wellbeing. Within my wider team we also have a monthly team Pulse check survey to measure the team wellbeing within that month, at each of our monthly team meetings any concerns are addressed from this survey, and individuals are given the opportunity to seek further support on these issues. Each floorplate have designated wellbeing champions, and mental health first aiders which you can reach out to confidentially for support. Our team wellbeing champions set up ad hoc events through the year, one of the most recent being a sunflower growing competition, which encouraged colleagues to get out into our Waterside office allotments and grow sunflowers with their teams, a great way to bring people together in nature. Aswell as this there are also weekly lunchtime wellbeing walks around the moors. We have a company wellbeing room, where you can go to take time out if needed. There are also company wide wellbeing campaigns that run throughout the year, with health checks on the street to wellbeing lunches where you can get a massage or your nails painted courtesy of British Airways.
