Hi. There is currently a vacancy for aircraft cleaners. If I applied & was successful could I then apply for Cabin Crew?

Is it easier to move laterally within British Airways ie. from Aircraft Cleaner to Cabin Crew, when vacancies opened up?

    Hello,

    Thanks for your question.

Personally, I wouldn’t recommend taking that route. Even as an internal candidate, you would still need to meet all the Cabin Crew requirements — including height, swimming ability, relevant experience, and the ability to pass safety and service training.

In my view, your time would be better spent gaining experience in a customer-facing or people-focused role, ideally one that matches the core competencies required for Cabin Crew. This could be within British Airways, but it doesn’t have to be — any strong customer service experience will support your application when the time comes.

Unfortunately, I don’t know when recruitment will open again, but I’d recommend keeping an eye on updates and completing your application promptly when it does.

    I hope that helps 😊
