Hi Dimple, thanks for your message.

It’s great to hear you’re interested in starting your career with British Airways. The training process is structured, hands-on, and a really exciting part of joining the company. As an example, if you’re based at Heathrow, you’ll train to operate on several aircraft types, including the Airbus A319, A320 and A321, the Boeing 777 and 787, and either the A350 or A380.

Over the 12-week course, you’ll learn everything needed to operate safely and confidently, from emergency and evacuation procedures to aviation first aid, service delivery and working effectively as a team onboard. The days are full and varied, mixing classroom sessions, practical drills and aircraft visits, all led by experienced trainers who support you every step of the way.

You’ll also complete a few flights during your training, both short haul and long haul, before receiving your wings and officially joining the team as British Airways Cabin Crew. From there, the learning continues on the job, with plenty of support from colleagues and managers as you operate flights around the world.

It’s an intense but rewarding experience, and most people look back on training as one of the best parts of their journey into flying.

I would definitely recommend taking a look at our Cabin Crew FAQ page. It has a lot more information about the role and training process.

You can also stay up to date with upcoming opportunities by registering for job alerts on the British Airways careers website here.

    I hope that helps 😊
