    Hi, thanks for your question.

Based on what you’ve described, it may be acceptable as long as both tattoos are fully covered by the British Airways uniform at all times. For cabin crew, this means:

Wrist tattoo: If the tattoo is above where the hand meets the wrist and is completely covered by the long-sleeved uniform shirt, including when you’re reaching, serving, or moving around the cabin, then it may be acceptable.

Ankle tattoo: If the tattoo sits where socks or tights and trousers fully cover it, and it cannot be seen at any point while in uniform, then this may also be acceptable.

The key requirement is that no tattoos are visible when wearing the uniform, and tattoos cannot be covered using plasters, bandages or makeup. This applies to all crew, regardless of gender.

If there’s any chance a tattoo could become visible during normal duties, it wouldn’t meet the uniform standards. Final confirmation is always given during the assessment stage, where uniform fit and coverage are checked.

You can find more detail on the Cabin Crew FAQ page.

    I hope that helps 😊

    Dan
