I live in Aberdeen and would like to apply for cabin crew Heathrow. Curious about how this would work. Thanks Sandra

Hi Sandra, thanks for your question.

Many of our crew do commute from Scotland, including Aberdeen, so it’s certainly possible. It can be challenging at times, as home standby requires you to be able to reach Heathrow within two hours and thirty minutes. Early report times and late finishes can also mean you’ll sometimes need to stay in hotels near the airport at your own expense.

That said, there is flexibility through the rostering system, as you can bid for certain trips and days off to help make your schedule work better for you. Many crew manage the commute successfully, it just takes a bit of planning and organisation.

You can read more about life as cabin crew on the Cabin Crew FAQ page and register for job alerts here.

    I hope that helps 😊

    Dan
