I’d really like to be able to speak speak in more detail with someone about the CAA class 1 medical if possible
I have type 1 diabetes and I’m am just as fit to carry out any task just as anyone who doesn’t take insulin. The technology available on NHS is great and has led me to control my diabetes perfectly so it feels wrong that I’m not allowed to become a pilot

Hi there, I'm sorry to learn that you're having difficulties getting a Class 1 Medical. The criteria and medical checks that pilots must pass are done through an Aeromedical Examiner (AME) for the UK CAA, not the airline. An airline company doesn't oversee or have any contribution in the regulations around the issue of pilot medicals. I can only recommend that you check the CAA website for a list of AMEs who will be able to give you advise on this. Very best of luck!
