If I become a pilot do I get free hotel stays after my flight and do I get to keep the points? And are the hotels nice?

    Hello Nirav,

    Thanks for your question.

    Hotels for Pilots After Flights

Yes - when you operate a flight as a pilot (or as cabin crew), British Airways provides accommodation down route. The company books the hotel for you, so you don’t have to arrange or pay for anything yourself.

    Hotel Quality

Generally, the hotels are good quality - often 4 or 5-star properties - chosen to be comfortable, safe, and convenient for rest. BA selects hotels that meet specific crew standards, usually close to the airport or in central locations depending on the layover.

    Hotel Points and Loyalty Schemes

This is where it differs from travelling as a passenger:

    • BA books crew rooms under a corporate contract, so you usually won’t earn personal loyalty points on these stays.
    • However, some crew sign up to hotel loyalty programmes anyway. Occasionally, if the booking setup allows it, you might still collect points, but it’s not guaranteed and not something BA manages on your behalf.

    I hope that helps 😊
