If I live in Newcastle currently, and apply at the end of the year is there a base closer than London?

And how will I know when job vacancies become available - I keep checking but because I am not from London Heathrow no results come up - thank you

    Hi, thanks for your question.


    At the moment, British Airways cabin crew are based at London Heathrow, London Gatwick, and London City Airport. There isn’t currently a base closer to Newcastle, so you’d need to travel to one of our London airports if you were to join. Lots of crew at Heathrow, where I’m based, commute from Newcastle. British Airways operates a direct flight into Heathrow Terminal 5, and while commuting can be challenging at times, many crew make it work successfully.


    To stay updated on when new vacancies open, the best thing to do is register for job alerts here. That way, you’ll receive an email notification as soon as recruitment begins for any of the bases.
