Hi Lewis, thanks for getting in touch and congratulations on getting through to the interview stage.

The interview is designed to be supportive and to give you the opportunity to show who you are and how you’d approach the role. You don’t need to prepare for anything technical. The focus is very much on your people skills, judgement and attitude.

A few things that are worth preparing for:

Understanding the role
Make sure you’re clear on what cabin crew life is really like. It’s a safety critical role first and foremost, with a strong focus on teamwork, customer care and responsibility. Being able to talk about why the role appeals to you and why British Airways specifically is important.

Reflecting on your experiences
Think about real examples from your own life where you’ve worked with others, handled pressure, helped someone, dealt with a challenge or communicated clearly. These can come from work, education, volunteering or everyday situations. What matters is how you approached them and what you learned.

Being yourself on the day
The interview isn’t about having perfect answers. It’s about showing warmth, professionalism and self awareness. Listen carefully, take your time when answering, and engage naturally. Treat everyone you meet as if you’re already representing the airline.

Presentation and mindset
Arrive prepared, well presented and organised, but try not to over rehearse. Confidence comes from preparation, not from memorised responses. Feeling nervous is completely normal, especially for your first interview, and that’s expected.
