Is the right to live & work in the UK sufficient to be hired as a BA pilot, or is the visa required to be UNRESTRICTED?

I work as a pilot in the UK on a family visa - I have the right to live and work in the UK. It is NOT a permanent visa - I need to apply for an extension after 2.5 years, after which I will apply for citizenship. Is the right to live and work in the UK as per a family visa sufficient for BA?
