Hi Begüm, thanks for your question.

Since joining British Airways, the area I’ve grown the most in is confidence. Working with a different team on every flight and supporting customers in all kinds of situations really builds your ability to communicate clearly, stay calm when things change quickly and trust your own judgement.

I’ve also developed a much stronger sense of resilience. The lifestyle can be demanding at times, with early starts, long nights and busy flights, but you learn how to manage your energy, look after yourself and stay positive for the people you’re there to support.

And finally, teamwork. You rely on one another throughout the whole day, and you quickly learn how to build trust with colleagues you may have only just met. It’s one of the most rewarding parts of the job.

You can read more about the role on the Cabin Crew FAQ page and register for job alerts if you’re thinking of applying.

    I hope that helps 😊

Thank you so much for taking the time to answer my question in such detail. I really appreciate you sharing your personal experiences and insights about working at British Airways. Reading about how you’ve grown in confidence, resilience, and teamwork was truly inspiring. It’s amazing to see how the challenges of the job help you develop not only professionally but also personally.

Your explanation gave me a much clearer idea of what it takes to succeed in this role, and it has motivated me even more to pursue my own journey in the aviation industry. I really value your advice and the time you took to share it with me—it means a lot.

Thank you again for your guidance and for being so generous with your experience. I hope to learn and grow as much as you have in the future!
