Speedbird requirements

It says on the speedbird requirements that you must have a C in English and maths. I got a grade 4 in English language and a grade 5 in English literature and have completed A-levels in maths and physics. Will this be okay? I’ve also passed the CBAT I when I applied to the Royal Navy is this useful

    Hi Freddie.

The requirements are firm and are 6 GCSE's graded 5-9 including a 5 for English Language, Maths and a Science. We don't take any higher education into account. We have had candidates who have done the relevant GCSE's to be eligible for the following year which may be something you consider.

I appreciate you were hoping for a different answer but I wish you all the best in finding a way into flying if this is what you want to do.

Is this still the case this year, I’m the same boat but obtain a degree I know some programs allow a degree in if your GCSE are not at grade 5

Just as an update the requirements have now changed to include grade 4 and this information can be found here, Speedbird Pilot Academy Preparation.
