What sort of things can a 16 year old be doing, such as jobs, to really stand out in their Speedbird Pilot Academy application and interview process?
I'm currently 16, in my first year of A-Levels, looking to apply next year for when I will be old enough to consider joining the Speedbird Pilot Academy granted I make it through stages 1-3. I have been really set on the scheme, but have been concerned with the fact that I would have to compete against people in their 30s and 40s, with full experience and transferrable skills. How can I really improve myself to make sure I can make it through the application stages and show that I am built for the job?

Hello,
It's fantastic to hear your excitement about applying to our funded pilot pathway.
A big variety of people from different ages, backgrounds and experience apply for this role. While it does make the role very competitive, don't let this hold you back.
Many people apply multiple times before they are successful. In the meantime, try to get as much flying experience as possible.
