22, BSc in Digital Marketing, always dreamed of being a pilot but thought it’s too late. Is it possible to start now?

I’ve always been passionate about aviation but never thought it was affordable or achievable for me. What are the first steps to make this dream a reality? Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

    Hi Lucy

Absolutely not too late! I was the same age when I started training. There are people of every age, some that have families, previous long careers and equally some straight out of school. I think 22 is a great age to start.

The first step is to have a look through the eligibility criteria and make sure you satisfy each point. Then when the intake opens next month, put an application in!

    Best of luck :)

    Hi Lucy.

I was a qualified Paediatric Nurse and 26 when I started the program. There was a wide variety of life experience on my course and within those that have already been offered a place in the Speedbird Pilot Academy.

    Good luck
