Hello!
It is fantastic to see such big ambitions. Yes, it is possible, but the path is very specific although the requirements are slightly different for each.
To become a pilot, you could apply to our Speedbird Pilot Academy, although the 2026 intake is now closed. It is open to international applicants, but you would need to have the right to work in the UK. To fly for British Airways, you must have the unrestricted right to live and work in the UK without sponsorship and if you are a Nigerian citizen living in Nigeria, you would typically need to secure a UK visa or residency independently before you could apply for this specific scholarship; sadly this is not something we are able to advise on.
Your O-Levels are usually accepted as "equivalent" to the UK GCSEs. SPA requires 6 subjects at Grade C/4 or above, including Maths, English, and a Science.
British Airways does not typically offer a scholarship for a university degree in engineering, but they do offer Engineering Apprenticeships. British Airways pays for your training and gives you a job while you study for your engineering licenses.
Another option is to follow in many other Nigerian students, who choose to study Aeronautical Engineering at a UK university first (like Salford, UWE Bristol, or Sheffield) and then apply for our Graduate Engineering Schemes once they have their degree.
I hope this has helped :)
