Guidance on British Airways Engineering Opportunities
Kunbin D. asked a question to Eugenia O.
Dear Eugenia, I am Kunbin Deng, a senior Aircraft Maintenance Engineer with 15+ years of experience in China. I recently relocated to the UK and wish to join BA engineering team. Could you advise if my qualifications are transferable or if BA supports obtaining UK CAA Part-66 licenses? Many thanks!

Hi. We offer a wide range of training for our Engineers.
- We are able to provide a wide range of industry leading Part-147 / Part-145 training, which includes the latest Aircraft types, technological classrooms and simulators
- We provide access to a suite of personal and developmental professional training through our Global Learning Academy at Heathrow
- We will provide opportunities to gain your B1 and/or B2 Licences with type ratings, to develop your career further.
If you do not currently hold a UK CAA Licence, you will be more eligible for a Mechanic role. I would advise you to put a job alert on our careers page, and it will notify you once the Mechanic role is live. Thank you.
