Hello, I'm looking at applying to the speedbird pilot academy when it opens. Is it possible to commute to LHR/LGW from Manchester as a pilot on short haul in junior years? Do lots of people do it and if so how?

    Hey-

    It is absolutely possible to commute from Manchester and I know a lot of people that commute, myself included! However, in all honestly, it is a bit harder to organise, but will certainly become easier as you progress up the seniority ladder. If you were going to commute from any of the destinations British Airways fly to, I would definitely put Manchester at the top of the "easiest commutes" list.
