Hi Eugenia. I am looking for assistance on how to join the mechanic pathway to gain experience in my B2 avionics technician role as I am currently studying for the UKCAA B2 AMEL licence exams. I have UK 20hrs/week right to work on my visa eg with BA.

Bray M. asked a question to Eugenia O.

I previously held UAE GCAA B2 AMEL licence as well as my origin country B2 Avionics technician licences but am currently studying for the UKCAA B2 AMEL. I live here in the UK.

  • Hi Bray,

Thank you for your query. We have a Cabin Mechanic Pathway programme, however it is currently closed. This is not a B2 aimed pathway, however provides valuable experience within the Cabin.

Please note we do not offer any sponsorship or support with your current visa type. The pathway is a full time position including the initial training provided.

Additionally for Technician roles, we do require a full UK CAA Licence.

For any roles, I would recommend putting a job alert via the BA Careers website and it will notify you once a suitable role is out. Wishing you the best with your Engineering career.
