Thank you for your query. For an experienced Aircraft Mechanic at British Airways, we require 12 months of hands on aircraft mechanic experience and a NVQ Level 2 equivalent before applying. We have a Cabin Aircraft Mechanic Pathway role that supports candidates who have Mechanic/Engineering experience from other industries to work and support our colleagues in the Cabin. This is a competitive and regarding opportunity, however the vacancy has closed for the year. I would recommend you to sign up for our job alerts, and you will be notified if the role is advertised again. Additionally the most direct way of becoming an Aircraft Mechanic will be to join our Apprenticeship Scheme. More details of the apprenticeship can be found under our Emerging Talent section on our careers page. Thank you.
