If I hold a PPL when I apply for the Speedbird Pilot Academy, will I have to complete this training again at Skyborne or FTEJerez?

    Hey -

The short answer is yes, you will still complete the full syllabus.

Even if you already hold a Private Pilot Licence (PPL), we will require you to complete the entire Integrated ATPL course from start to finish. Speedbird Pilot Academy is an Integrated Course, not a modular one. This means the training is designed as a single, continuous flow from start to finish. The flight schools need to ensure every cadet is taught to the exact same standard using the exact same procedures from the very first straight and level lesson.

However, if you decide to go for your PPL, do not start your ATPL Theory exams yet! If you have already started or completed your ATPL Theoretical Knowledge exams, you would not be eligible to apply to the programme.

    Best of luck!

    Chloe
