pilot height 154cm

Hi, I am qualified pilot CPL ME-IR/fATPL with height 154cm. Height required in the description is minimum 157cm - as this is achieved via mostly any shoes is there any cockpit fit assessment done as part of recruitment process or a disqualified condition/not met? Thank you

    Hi -


    Unfortunately the lower height limit is a hard limit. Although, as you are correct, making up the extra few cms would be easy enough to do with heels, it is more about what you can and cannot reach whilst sat down. I am 170cm and there are things that are a little stretch even for me. I am really sorry that this is the case for now, but it is exclusively for safety reasons.
