Speedbird Academy dates.

I finish college latest May 26 would I probably have to wait until 2027 to apply for the Speedbird Academy course? Also, just double checking as I couldn't find much information, am I correct that there is no option to be accepted and defer and begin the following year instead? Thanks, Hattie.

    Hi Hattie -


    I do hope the Academy opens next year for you! Historically speaking, it's opened at the beginning of the year, so if you were available after May 2026, you could absolutely apply in the 2026 intake, courses wouldn't start until well after you finish.


    All our successful applicants will be able to request certain periods that work for them, this doesn't mean they are granted but we do take every single one into consideration. In all honesty, most want to start ASAP, so I'm sure you'd be OK to request a course on the later side to finish your studies. The only issue I can see about applying next year is that you may be doing the application during examination periods.


    I have not heard of anyone successful deferring their place until the next intake.
