Meet our colleague

I joined British Airways straight out of university in 2022, with no specific career goals in mind, just a desire to learn and seize every opportunity. Along the way, I saw the positive impact aviation has on our lives, from connecting families, businesses and trade - and uncovered secret love for plane spotting.

I work in our Communications team, seek ing opportunities to promote and protect the reputation of British Airways across various audiences, including the media and government. My role is exciting and varied, ranging from devising strategies and briefing senior leaders to organising events - no two days are the same.

In my role there is lots of opportunities to promote the British Airways brand and being part of the team that enables this is highly rewarding. Seeing the impact that your work can make motivates me to continue to seek new opportunities and remain curious in my outlook as you never know what a small idea may lead to! I really enjoy when I get to work with various teams across the business to shape ideas and form plans - seeing the outcomes instils a lot of pride across teams.

Seize every opportunity - you never know what it may lead to! Always keep an open-mind when making decisions, some of my best career moments have happened after I said yes to something that I wanted to say no to, being outside of your comfort zone is when you will learn the most! Create goals to ensure you have things to aspire and work towards, this will keep you on the right path and motivated. Prior to making big decisions, do your research, ask questions and don't worry if you don't understand something the first time - resilience is they key to success.

In the first instance, securing the role at British Airways was a huge achievement, as a globally recognised brand with a rich history - this is something to be really proud of. Since joining I have been lucky enough to work on some exciting and meaningful projects, from celebrating 100 years of flying to India, shaping our corporate narrative, to organising multiple events to promote the brand and engage colleagues, media and government. Outside of my role I work to promote a career in aviation to young people to ensure we have a diverse pipeline of the aviators of tomorrow.
